I have such a treat for you today!
I really love a get craft book – especially one that is a resource that I can turn to again and again. Today I’m sharing one of those fabulous resources – and giving YOU the chance to win one too!
Have you come across Junction’s Fabric Flowers, by Amy Barickman yet? It is such a great book!
If you’re a regular Flamingo Toes Reader, you know that I love making things with Fabric Flowers. We even have a whole page dedicated to them!
So when Indygo Junction sent me an email asking if I’d like to be a part of the Blog Tour promoting their newest book, Fabric Flowers, I jumped at the chance!
You’ll see a list of those of us participating at the bottom of the post, but basically, they asked each of us to choose a flower to make and show off.
I chose the Velvet Viola – it seemed so fun and soft, and perfect for me with its little beaded center!
Here’s my version of it:
I went with a more neutral version than the one in the book – and I love it because I think I can use this with so many outfits!
The center is a little cluster of beads – I think it is so pretty – especially against the soft ribbon and velvet. (or crushed velvet in this case.)
Here’s the version of the Velvet Viola they show in the book. I think that maroon and green are a lovely combo too!
Guess What?? The generous folks at Indygo Junction are letting me give a copy of the book to one of you! Yay!
I think you are going to love this – there are so many different and unique flowers here – all with super clear instructions for how to make them.
They are also offering a 20% discount to Flamingo Toes readers on your next Indygo Junction purchase!!
You will definitely want to head over and take a look around. They have such super cute patterns, great books and more!
The discount code is: FFBK21. Enter that at checkout to receive your discount. (Code expires 5/1/13)
So let’s get to the giveaway!
Indygo Junction is giving away a copy of their new book Fabric Flowers. The winner will also receive a set of yo-yo makers – which you can use to make some of the flowers in the book!
How cool is that?
To enter, just leave a comment on this post with what you like to use Fabric Flowers on. Maybe you like them for clothes? Wreaths? Pillows? Hairbands? Leave a comment letting me know!
(Giveaway open to US residents only.)
Easy peasy right?
You can check out all of the other stops on the Blog Tour – some of them have giveaways that are still open too – so you can increase your chances of winning!
