Crush of the Week – Think Pink Features!

Time to check out the awesome features from last week’s Think Pink Sunday!!

First up we have a pretty and easy way to freshen up your house for spring! How gorgeous are these Vases made from recycled jars by Taryn at Design, Dining and Diapers!

Ack – the cuteness!! Check out these darling little Sugar Cookie Lemon Tarts from Lady Behind the Curtain!!
Wouldn’t these be great for a party or a shower? Or a Friday?

Speaking of cuteness – how darling is this little reversible baby jacket from Rose at A Rosie Sweet Home?
You have to stop by and just scroll through the pictures of this little peanut. She’s so adorable!!

I am so in love with these little treat bags from Maggie and Midwestern Sewing Girl!! But I love everything Maggie does.
We need a phrase for crafters – kind of like gardeners having a “green thumb”. Maybe a Martha Stewart thumb?
Well. It’s a work in progress. Whatever we decide to call it – Maggie’s got it.

If anyone at the FT household is reading this – I want this for my birthday cake this year. Helllooooo yumminess!
This Banana Split Cake from Baking with Blondie looks amazing!

This Strawberry Lemonade from Amanda at Live a fabuLESS life makes me think of summer!!
I need a hammock and a big pitcher of this! Also, a backyard would be good too. Maybe I’ll just make a pitcher and take it to the beach. That’s a good option.

Thanks for linking up – I love seeing what you make every week!

If I lived closed to Kristina J – I am pretty sure I’d get arrested for stealing her entire closet. Either that or I might befriend her in a purely selfish way to borrow clothes and avoid jail time.
(Yes. I shallowly base my friendships on wardrobe options. So?)
Seriously – this girl is amazing! Check out her latest bit of wonderfulness – her Anthro Intellegencer Coat!

Need a Mother’s Day idea? This darling French Country Zipper pouch by Katie at Periwinkle Pincushion would be perfect!
Pretty linen, different trims, a giant bow - who wouldn’t love that?

Brooke from Start at Home shared a beautiful Living Room to Office Transformation!! You have to go check out the before and after -
I love all the little extra touches she’s put into the room!

Crystal from A Pumpkin and a Princess is back with tiny little Brownie Twix Trifles – aren’t they cute?
And tasty looking?

Highlight’s of the Week:

Health Update - Thanks for all your sweet comments and well wishes last week!! I am doing much better – it’s nice to be eating solid food again. :)
Plus I have to get better for SNAP next week. So excited about that!!

Speaking of SNAP – anyone going??? I would LOVE to meet you!!
I’ve been getting ready this week – got my hair all spruced up and chopped – and I’m working on outfits. Because, ya know, there’s no bigger pressure than dressing for 325 adorable bloggers.
I’ll keep you all posted next week on FB and Twitter with what’s going on – lots of pictures and updates!!

Weird Searches of the Week:
Now normally we get a lot of searches each week for flamingotoes.com. This week though we had a search for “flamingotoes.com!” So – someone is either super excited to get here – or they are having some sort of flamingo-toe emergency!!!!!!!!
We also had a search for “husband tickles my foot“. Um. Is someone actually searching for a husband that will do that? Because let me tell you – it’s not all it’s cracked up to be. Though maybe if it’s something you really want – we could send eHarmony a note and ask them to add it to their questionaire.

And that’s it – Happy weekend!!

Highlights of the Week:

~ So this has been a week of highs and lows. The high was my fun magazine feature. The low – and keeping it real here – is I’ve been pretty sick this week. Confession time – I have diverticulitis.
If you’re not familiar with that – and without dropping some TMI all over you and making you lose the Cadbury Egg you just ate – it’s basically an infection in my intestines. That flairs up every so often. Like now. And results in fever, pain, and all around yuckiness. I’m on the mend though – so here’s hoping next week is a little more healthy. :) Here’s some things I can tell you after the week:
1. Eating only small amounts Campbell’s Chicken Noodle Soup (the cheap kind) for 4 days gets mighty old.
2. While not at all recommended, this is excellent for weight loss.
3. Mr. F.T. is a saint. Seriously.

~ An on that note – let’s have some weird searches shall we? (Can you just imagine the searches we’ll get now after that little confession?)
•    We had a search this week for “diy flamingo taxidermy“. I’m all about kitschy flamingo fun. For goodness sake, I have a plastic flamingo trophy on my wall. But the real thing? No thanks. Also – I would like to know where their flamingo came from. Is there a zoo somewhere missing a feathered friend?
•    We also had someone searching for a “vintage big sister“.  I think that might be a great great great aunt. Or something.
•    Someone searched for “skinny headbands to grow out hair“. Hello. Is there a headband that makes your hair grow?? Cause I will be first in line for that. All I can find are headbands-so-tight-they-make-you-bald-behind-your-ears.

That’s it – be back tomorrow with Pinterest Feature Friday and Saturday with Think Pink Sunday!
(I think that will go up a little early on Sat. so you can link up early because of Easter)
