I am super excited to show you my newest Embroidery pattern in the Flamingo Toes shop!
This new “Hello Love” – Retro Floral Typewriter Embroidery pattern was so fun to design and stitch up. It’s the first in a Retro Floral series that I’ll be doing over the next month or so. I thought that a typewriter all decorated with flowers and a little love note would be the perfect project to kick off the series!
The embroidery is all the basic stitches I usually use – back stitch, lazy daisies and french knots. You can find instructions for all of them on the Embroidery Tips page.
I was a little worried about how long the keys would take but they actually went together pretty quickly! I love how they give the project almost a hand-drawn look.
The pattern is sized for a 9″ hoop but I think it would look great in a 10″ x 10″ frame too.
You can purchase the pattern here – it’s only $5!
All my PDF patterns are instant downloads so there are no waiting for emails. The pattern includes a DMC floss color chart, and the patterns are in a color version, black and white, and a reversed image in case you want to use an iron-on transfer pen.
While you’re there, you can check out all the Floral Woodland embroidery patterns too!
I so appreciate your support of my projects and my shop! Thank you!

I have two old typewriters. One is an old black manual, one gray electric model. I have hauled them out on several occasions and tried to find an interesting, attractive way to not only display them but to let my grandchildren type on them. But don’t have much creative talent and after a few days, I end up putting them back in the closet. Maybe I could try again and with the embroidered picture, the display would have more appeal. So cute, so retro, so bright !!!
