I seriously have a new favorite quilt.
Ok, I’ll probably say that about every quilt I make, but I absolutely love this new quilt! It’s made of soft, cozy flannel all decorated with cute woodland animals!
It’s made with the new fabric from Patty Young for Riley Blake Fabrics called Acorn Valley! It’s my turn on the Blog Tour today – so I’m sharing my new Acorn Valley Windows Quilt!
Acorn Valley comes in Flannels and Knits and I used the flannels for my project. If you haven’t worked with Riley Blake flannels before, they are such high quality. Super soft but a really thick weave too. And the prints from Acorn Valley are soooo cute! All little woodland animals, trees, and butterflies in bright colors. Love!
I wanted to show off the fabrics so I made a simple windows-style quilt. I want to write up a pattern for you but I want to make another version – just to make sure my measurements are correct. I’m not so good with the maths. ;)
I quilted it with a simple meandering free motion so the fabrics would really show off. I love that I’m getting faster at it too – this only took me a couple hours to do the quilting so yay for that!
I’ll work on another version and share the pattern with you soon!
