How’s that for a title for you? And hey – how’s this – I have something for Sew Our Stash this month! Woooot!
This month our theme was “In Disguise” and Marissa has a fun costume post for you! I don’t have anywhere to wear a costume this year so I played a bit a bit with a theme and made my first Dottie Angel frock with this cue hipster cat fabric!
The hipster cats are wearing glasses and bowties – so that’s sort of a disguise right?? :) Also, I hadn’t heard of Dottie Angel before I saw this cute Simplicity Pattern but I just fell in love with the dress! She has such a good style!
I don’t usually mimic the fabrics on the pattern cover but I just loved the combo of that left image – so I used this light gray cat fabric, the gray plaid flannel, and a gold doily cotton fabric for the pockets!
The back is gathered with a tie that is sewn into pleats on the front. It’s so comfortable to wear!
I’ll probably mostly wear it with leggings – pretty much the perfect blend of comfy and cute.
Make sure you head over to visit Marissa at Rae Gun Ramblings and see what she made this month!
And we’d love to see what you’ve been making this month! Leave a link in the comments!
