I have a fun treat for you – today’s post is full of all kinds of goodies!
As some of you might know, I also write over at Consumer Crafts – a fun blog full of all kinds of awesome crafty projects!
You might also know that I’m a bit of a jewelry nut. You can check all my projects on the Jewelry page – but I am also always up for trying out other tutorials too! Today I have a fun way for you to try a bunch of jewelry tutorials all in one place.
Consumer Crafts has just released a brand new Jewelry Project eBook . . . and guess what?! It’s free!!
There are 9 projects in the eBook – all with detailed instructions that you can print out and follow to make your new jewelry pieces. They are running a sale right now as well for 10% off all jewelry supplies, so you can pick up your project materials on sale!
I thought it would be fun to make up one of the projects so I picked out the cute summer braided bracelets in the eBook. They were the perfect evening activity to make up with my sister – it was a nice break from packing!
Consumer Crafts has all kinds of connectors and colors of hemp for braiding, so you can really mix or match your designs. I would recommend you check the size of the hole on your connector. The little anchor piece that is in the tutorial worked perfectly with the hemp recommended, but I also bought the little bow and clover piece, and those holes were quite a bit smaller. We got it to work but it was a bear threading the hemp through. I suggest if you try these smaller connector pieces that you use a thinner hemp. Or be prepared to work a bit on getting the cording into through the holes. :)
The other projects are so cute too – I just love the tassel earrings, and the mini terrarium necklaces!!
