So I’ve been working on some behind the scenes things here at Flamingo Toes that I’m excited to show you – finally!!
I have been wanting to do some reference pages for quite a while, for some of the basic skilllllz we do around here all the time.
Like french knots and head pins and other odds and ends.
If you’ll direct your eyes up just a bit (if you’re in a reader or mobile you’ll have to click over and say hi in person) to the menu, you’ll see we have a new tab called “How To Do That”.
Now. Don’t go looking for crazy things there. I have not provided instructions for how to catch and clean trout or make balloon animals.
Cause who would want to know how to do that?
Instead, you’ll find Jewelry and Embroidery tips there.
You can click on either category for several tips in full Tutorial format, with easy photos to follow along with.
I am not proclaiming myself an expert or anything – this is just how I do things. :) And since I do them a lot, now I can shorten up posts occasionally and send people here for the steps, rather than including them ever time. Cool huh?
I’ll be adding more as we do them, and if you can think of anything I’ve forgotten, let me know and I’ll add it!
I debated on Sewing Tips. What do you think?

Looking good, Bev! And I would say YES to the sewing tips! :)

Yay, Bev! This is such a smart idea, and will be greatly appreciated. Little things like this make blogs so much more “user friendly” and enjoyable for all of us. Thanks!

Love love love this idea. It’s been on my to do list for jewelry forevvvvvvver. I like the idea of putting it right up there at the top with everything else. Nice. Very nice. :)

Bev, this is such a good idea! And yes, I need your sewing tips, too – that’ll be SO helpful! Oh, and… how do I catch and clean trout…?
