Retro Kitchen Canvas Print

I have this interesting wall between my kitchen and dining room. It’s a funky kind of divider, and right now I have some cute aprons hanging there.
But in the “turn the whole house upside down and redecorate it” mode that I’m in, I decided that the funky wall really needed some new artwork.
I am loving the retro/rustic look for the kitchen and dining room, so I knew it would have to be something big and colorful and fun.
I was so excited to receive an email about doing a review of UPrinting Canvas Prints- I just knew that would work out perfectly!

Here’s my new artwork!

Isn’t it fun? I designed the canvas artwork, and I added a cool little 3D look with the “EAT” lettering on top of the canvas!

Ordering from UPrinting was super easy. I had no idea that they sold rolled canvases - basically they are the same canvases as the stretched ones, but priced cheaper!

All I had to do was choose my size. I also chose the 2 inch border around the edge. I knew I’d frame the canvas so that worked out perfectly.

Once you decide on the specifications of the canvas, all you have to do is upload your design! They even show you a little preview to make sure everything looks good.

I was a little worried about the colors of the preview, they were a little off from what I’d uploaded. But the canvas came and it was perfect, exactly what I’d uploaded!
The colors were super bright and clear.

For the EAT letters, I painted the sides first, a nice dark gray to match my frame. Then I Mod Podged scrapbook paper to the top of the letter.
(Yes. Paper. I was sweating bullets the whole time.)

Once the Mod Podge was dry, I sanded the edges of the paper, then dry brushed on a little more gray paint to give them a distressed look.

I love those dots. They’re so cute and retro!

I stretched the canvas around the glass from the frame and taped everything down as tightly as I could.
Then I lightly glued on the letters and it was done! So super easy!

I hung it up on the funky wall, and it looks great!
I’m working on a cute new Apron Rack too that I’ll show off soon!

Isn’t it a fun piece of Kitchen Artwork?! I am so happy with it.
