Anthro Penmanship Gift Tags

Today we’re making Anthro Gift Tags – alternately known as the Easiest. Knockoff. Ever. :)

These probably don’t even need a tutorial – but I’m writing one anyway. Cause I like them so much.

Here’s my version:

Here are the Anthro tags:

Cute right? I love how fast these are – I think I made them up in about 20 minutes.
Plus, they can be used for more than Christmas – they are perfect for any gift!

Here’s the quick and easy tutorial. :)

You’ll need:
cardstock (1 sheet makes 8 tags)
red thread
blue thread
cording for ties
Pattern for tags – click here to open PDF
(As always with my PDF’s - don’t sell or redistribute these images. Thanks!)

Start by printing out the tags. If you have letter stamps, you could also just make your own!

Cut out the tags. To get those rough edges like the Anthro tags. scrape the edges of the tags with your fingernail.
This will give it that almost “torn” look.

Sew three lines of blue stitching across the horizontal length of the tag. Start just under the lettering.

Sew a vertical red line of stitching to the right of the lettering.

Punch a hole in the top left of the card and add your twine. I used 12″ of red/white Baker’s Twine, looped through the hole.
And Voila! You’re done and ready to start wrapping!!

You could even write a little note on these along with the name – “Merry Christmas” or “You are Awesome” or “This is totally a re-gift. Hope you like it better than I did”. :)

I looooove them. What about you? Do you make your own tags or wrapping?
