I’m kind of a Foodie. Or a Foodie wanna-be.
I love to cook. And even more, I love to eat. Obviously. ha.
So I wanted to share some recipes that are on my “To Do” list. Because I’m hungry and all I can think about is food right now. ;)
Julie from Mommie Cooks! is so talented. And not only do her recipes look amazing but so do the pictures of the recipes.
Love that.
On my list: Navajo Fry Bread. Crispy and Spicy and Fried. Nothing wrong there.
I’m kind of addicted to the Food Network. It’s my go-to Daytime TV programming.
I have a nice long list of must do recipes from shows – and we won’t even start on the cookbooks.
(Hush Mr. F.T.. I know how you feel about the cookbooks!!)
One of the recipes is this Rigatoni with Creamy Mushroom Sauceby Giada deLaurentis. Anything with mushrooms, pasta, and cheese in it gets bumped to the front of the line.
I know this post is titled “What’s for Dinner” but this is really one of those anytime recipes. You put a plate of it in front of me, and I’ll eat it. Doesn’t matter what time it is.
These S’Mores Pancakes with Marshmallow Sauce come from another of my new favorite blogs, Can You Stay For Dinner?. Andrea has yet to post anything that I don’t want to try – and these are no exception.
Plus she’s super funny and there’s not much I like more than be entertained while being tempted to lick the computer screen.
One of my favorite meals out ever was at Bobby Flay’s Mesa Grill. I had the New Mexican Spice Rubbed Pork Tenderloin with Bourbon – Ancho Chile Sauce, Sweet Potato Tamale and Crushed Pecan Butter. Which is a mouthful to say and eat. But soooo worth it. Here’s the full recipe.
I had to have the Mesa Grill cookbook, and recreated it. Yes, it was a lot of work.
And yes. It was Absolutely. Worth. It.

One of my first blog friends was Emily, who writes over at Frilly Details – and she’s a foodie too. :)
We share a common love of food and computers. :)
She just posted a new creation – this Southwest BBQ Chicken Salad.
She says the key ingredient is her Creamy Lime-Cilantro Dressing. Plus you cook the chicken in a slow cooker – and I love a yummy time-saver.
Annnnnd we can’t have dinner without dessert can we? No. That’d be silly.
So for dessert we should have these Cannoli from the sweet Christy over at Fudge Ripple. These little bites of deliciousness are filled with creamy ricotta and chocolate.
Have 1 for me. or 3.
So – now that we’re all starving – I have a question.
Do you have a recipe/foodie blog you love? Leave it in the comments!! We can always use more inspiration for dinner!

I love Half Assed Kitchen! http://www.alladither.typepad.com/halfassedkitchen/ The slightly naughty name first attracted me to it, but the fun, delicious, and easy recipes keep me coming back. My absolute favorite recipe is the Penuche Oatmeal No Bakes. (http://alladither.typepad.com/halfassedkitchen/2009/01/penuche-oatmeal-no-bake-cookies.html) I can’t even wait for them to cool, and I have burned my fingers more than once trying to get an early taste! YUMMY!

It’s 11:45 p.m. and I knew I should’ve read your post tomorrow – instead I opted for a light chicken sandwich because I couldn’t help it. At the moment I’m really into Kirbie’s Cravings, Picky Palate, Christine’s Recipes and Baker’s Banter (King Arthur’s site)

I stalk Pioneer woman and Our Best Bites. Ree’s Apple Fritters recipe is the best one I have found.
