What I Won at the Fair

The first thing I won was probably about 3 pounds. I’m not sure but I think the oil content in the fried zucchini, corn dog, and Indian fry bread I ate today will keep my skin moisturized for a month. Either that or I will break out in one big zit tomorrow and have to go into hibernation.

Best. Food. Ever. And it comes on a stick.

My second win is a slight sunburn. Despite the cloud coverĀ I can’t touch the top of my head without cringing. Is there some magic sunscreen you can spray on your head to keep your scalp from burning that doesn’t leave you looking like you haven’t washed your hair in a week??

Sunscreen Pig

The one thing I didn’t win was one of these . . .

Blue or any other color. :) But we still had a really great day – and thanks so much for all the good wishes and sweet comments. I’m glad you guys like the apron - even if the judges didn’t. haha.

And there’s always next year . . . ;)

It still sounds like you came out with a win!! Especially the Indian fry bread. I have trouble with the top of my head burning also – I try to pull my hair back or up in a half pony – anything to keeps me from having a part – and that seems to work for me.

That’s a BLUE RIBBON apron if I ever saw one! Better luck with the judges next year! I’ve “been there, done that” myself a few times, especially with photos. I always tell myself, “Well, I like them even if the judges didn’t!”
